Overview

The Limestone Coast Local Health Network has an exciting opportunity to join the Mount Gambier and Districts Health Service (MGDHS) leadership team. We are seeking a dynamic operational leader to provide pivotal oversight and direction across the hospital’s non-clinical services.

Working within a complex 24/7 health environment, you will lead diverse operational teams, manage competing priorities and resolve practical challenges that directly impact service delivery. This position will suit a confident and adaptable leader who builds strong relationships, makes sound decisions under pressure and takes accountability for outcomes.

Step into a valued leadership role and help shape the systems that enable exceptional care

This is a senior operational leadership role responsible for overseeing corporate operational functions across MGHDS. You will work closely with executive leaders, clinical managers and corporate partners to ensure essential services operate safely, efficiently and in alignment with governance requirements.

Reporting to the Executive Officer, Director of Nursing and Midwifery, you will lead a diverse workforce, strengthen accountability and support cross-functional collaboration. You will drive operational improvement initiatives, optimise processes and contribute to sustainable performance across the site.

Success in this role requires strong interpersonal capability, sound judgement and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining service continuity and organisational confidence.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee delivery of high‑quality environmental and business services across MGDHS.
  • Coordinate and support corporate and non‑clinical service operations
  • Contribute to sitewide operational planning and performance as a member of the senior management team
  • Support effective workforce management, resource allocation and service evaluation
  • Lead initiatives that improve operational efficiency and service reliability

  • Commitment to safety and wellbeing, with the ability to lead in accordance with the Premier’s Safety Commitment and legislative requirements, applying recognised risk‑management frameworks (e.g., AS/NZS 4360 or equivalent).

Salary: ASO6 - $98,478 - $104,165 p.a. + Salary Packaging Benefits + Leave Loading + 12% Superannuation

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.
