About the role

The position of Clinical Project Manager – New Women’s and Children’s Hospital Project is accountable to the Clinical and Operations Project Lead for the day-to-day operational management of the planning, implementation, transition, commissioning and decommissioning to support the New Women’s and Children’s Hospital Project (New WCH Project).

Key duties of the role

  • Leading consumer and clinical engagement for the New WCH Project.
  • Ensuring service planning, models of care, and development of physical designs undertaken for New WCH which are consistent with the organisation’s clinical service profile and functional relationships in the context of the organisational health service framework and SA Strategic Health Plan. 
  • Facilitating reviews and analysis of critical issues relevant to health service provision and corporate initiatives.
  • Contributes to the development of policies, procedures, executive briefings and presentations.
  • Provides leadership to facilitate deliverables relating to strategic and holistic service infrastructure including but not limited to emergency management, hospital wide/building security, emergency management and resilience.
  • Develops and contributes to key strategic documents for the project’s clinical and operations workstream including commissioning, logistics, procurement, change management, training plan and stakeholder engagement.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in management and leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated leadership in environments of change, complexity and uncertainty.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects.
  • Highly effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to present complex technical concepts clearly, prepare high-level documents, successfully facilitate consultation forums and deliver a range of complex, strategic and technical advice and consultancy services.
  • Proven problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills to navigate complex and sensitive issues, appropriately manage risk and develop effective solutions.
