About the role

The Business Support Officer provides project and administrative support to the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) team, managing documentation, data quality, training, procurement tasks, and committee coordination while supporting communication, reporting, and onboarding for new Sunrise Patient Administrative Systems (PAS) administrative users.

Key duties of the role

  • Source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues.
  • Work with the WCHN EMR team to provide accurate real-time progress/status reports.
  • Provide a responsive service by coordinating and responding to documentation requests.
  • Provide a Business Officer function for committees, advisory groups, workshop and team meetings.
  • Maintain a secure and effective records management system.
  • Coordinate and deliver education and access to new administrative users of the Sunrise PAS application.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in working within, and providing a range of supports, to a multidisciplinary team within a public health setting.
  • Proven experience in undertaking basic analysis of health-related data and information.
  • Detailed knowledge of Sunrise EMR and PAS functionality and associated health information processes.
  • Experience in tracking the progress of multiple complex tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative and judgement in supporting team objectives.
