About the role

Provides advanced physiotherapy within a multidisciplinary paediatric chronic pain service. Manages a clinical caseload, offers expert advice, supervises staff and students, and supports education. Liaises with external agencies including NDIS providers, schools, and sporting clubs.

Key duties of the role

  • Provision of high level physiotherapy patient centred clinical care within the Paediatric Chronic Pain Service including management of a complex clinical caseload.
  • Contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of the physiotherapy service
  • Contribute to physiotherapy or clinical specialty specific knowledge and provision of consultancy services
  • Actively contribute to the educational activities of physiotherapy and specialist multidisciplinary teams

Skills and Experience

  • Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
  • Extensive evidence based clinical knowledge, sufficient to enable safe, effective and autonomous physiotherapy management of paediatric chronic pain.
  • Experience with initiating, implementing and evaluating service improvement activities.
  • Ability to work effectively as a clinical leader within physiotherapy and specialist multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to interact with other people in a tactful, sensitive and ethical manner.
