About the role

Are you a passionate and dedicated Enrolled Nurse looking to make a real impact in mental health care? As a Mental Health Enrolled Nurse (MHEN), you will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery, working alongside Registered Nurses to provide person-centred care. Your role will involve delivering direct and comprehensive nursing care, engaging in education and counselling, and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to support the wellbeing of consumers. With a focus on the National Mental Health Policy and Standards, you will contribute to a compassionate and supportive environment that aligns with the values of SA Health.

In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to work across diverse settings, assisting individuals in managing their mental health while promoting their independence and quality of life. Whether you are a novice or an experienced Enrolled Nurse, your contribution will be valued as you develop your skills and expertise within a supportive team. Qualifications

  • Registered as a Nurse with the Nursing Board of Australia and holds a current practising certificate.
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, and enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or holds a qualification in mental health practice.
  • Credentialled to administer medication.
  • Have at least 80 hours of experience in Mental Health
  • Must hold an Enrolled Nurse Diploma 
  • Experience working in Mental Health 

Special Conditions:

  • may be required to drive a government plate vehicle.
  • Must hold a driver’s license.
