As Nurse Unit Manager, you will lead and coordinate nursing/midwifery and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.  You will drive clinical excellence, lead daily service delivery, and ensure continuity of care within medical services.

This role is accountable for team performance, aligning practice with policy, and fostering a positive, high-performing culture.  You will use data and evidence-based practice to guide decision-making, improve outcomes, and support innovation in care delivery.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will manage staffing, resources, and risk, while leading quality improvement initiatives and supporting education, mentoring, and professional development across the team.

What we are looking for:

  • A current practising certificate registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Minimum 3 years post-registration experience as a Nurse and/or Midwife
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership or management roles
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage performance
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience in quality improvement, risk management and patient safety
  • Ability to lead change and improve models of care
  • Experience using clinical and administrative systems (e.g Microsoft Office Suite, Sunrise etc)
