Quorn Health Service is a 41-bed facility, including 11 acute beds and 30 aged care beds, proudly serving the Flinders Ranges region. Living and Working in the Flinders and Upper North Region - Quorn

 

About the Role:

As a Services Assistant, you will provide a timely, efficient and effective service supporting the catering, cleaning and laundry functions of the health unit. Your duties will include the preparation, service and delivery of food to clients, general housekeeping, and laundry services such as washing, sorting, ironing and distributing linen and uniforms.

In this role, you will contribute to the smooth operation of the health unit by assisting with food preparation and service, maintaining cleanliness standards, operating equipment and supporting stock and resource management. You will follow clear instructions and procedures while working collaboratively with others and maintaining the skills and knowledge required to perform your role effectively.

 

About You:

  • Limited experience in the areas of housekeeping, cooking/catering and laundry.
  • Basic knowledge of safe working conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of Food Safety Standards.
  • Basic knowledge of Infection Control Standards, including cleaning and sanitizing processes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare Act and Risk Management principles.

Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances)
