Our Allied and Community Health Teams are multi-disciplinary professionals united by a common goal: improving health outcomes for our community. Based in Port Augusta and Whyalla, we also deliver care through regular outreach clinics in Roxby Downs, Quorn, Hawker, Marree, and Leigh Creek. We provide a wide range of centre-based, in-home, and community-based services for people of all ages, tailoring care to meet individual needs. Living and Working in the Flinders and Upper North Region - Port Augusta and Whyalla

About the Role:

Make a real impact in your community as a Physiotherapist in the Commonwealth Home Support Program! You’ll provide short-term, restorative, and maintenance-focused care to help older Australians (65+) maintain independence and remain in their own homes.

Your role will include assessing, treating, and managing mobility, pain, and falls risk through personalised exercise programs and rehabilitation, delivered either in clients’ homes or clinic settings. Join a supportive, multi-professional team and play a key part in improving quality of life for older adults. This role offers the opportunity to work under supervision (AHP1) or with reduced direction (AHP2), contributing to the development of less experienced allied health staff, assistants, and students while supporting a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to care.

About You:

AHP1

• Must hold a recognised qualification within the relevant Allied Health profession and be eligible for practicing membership of the relevant Professional Association.
• Deliver clinical services using established methods and procedures.
• Apply professional judgment with guidance from a Clinical Senior.
• Provide individual, group, and health promotion services.
• Manage and prioritise personal workload.

AHP2

• Must hold a recognised qualification within the relevant Allied Health profession and be eligible for practicing membership of the relevant Professional Association.
• Apply specialist expertise and clinical knowledge to deliver complex services.
• Use professional judgment to adapt methods and techniques.
• Provide clinical and consultative services across individual, group, and health promotion settings.
• Manage workload and support others in planning and allocating team resources.

Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances)
