Quorn Health Service is a 41-bed facility, including 11 acute beds and 30 aged care beds, proudly serving the Flinders Ranges region. As part of the Flinders Ranges Multi-Purpose Service (MPS), we provide accident and emergency care, general and surgical services, and residential aged care. Living and Working in the Flinders and Upper North Region - Quorn

 

About the Role:

As a Nurse Unit Manager, you will use your clinical knowledge and experience to coordinate patient/client care delivery within a Health Unit or Community Service. You will lead, manage and support nursing/midwifery and multidisciplinary team activities to ensure continuity and high-quality care outcomes.

In this role, you will be responsible for line management, team coordination and leadership, while fostering a positive work culture and driving team performance. You will also take accountability for nursing/midwifery and multidisciplinary outcomes within your area, addressing practice and policy alignment to support safe and effective care delivery.

 

About You:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Registered Nurse and or Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience.
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing and/or midwifery practice in accordance with the relevant standards.
  • Experience in management and leadership roles.
  • Experience in the supervision of students, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.

Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances)
