Booleroo Centre is a charming rural town nestled in the Southern Flinders Ranges, approximately 250 kilometres north of Adelaide. With a population of around 300, it offers a peaceful, welcoming lifestyle surrounded by stunning landscapes, rich history, and a strong sense of community.

This close-knit township values connection and tradition and provides essential local services including a hospital, schools, and small businesses - making it a self-sufficient and supportive place to live and work.  The local economy is driven by agriculture, with grain, cattle, and sheep production forming the backbone of the region.

Booleroo Centre District Hospital - provides a broad range of essential health services to the community, including:

• 6 acute inpatient beds
• 10-12 state-funded aged care beds
• 24-hour Emergency Department
• Acute medical inpatient care
• Palliative care
• Residential aged care

As a small rural site, nurses work dynamically across all services areas, offering excellent variety and professional development.  The hospital is well supported by an onsite GP practice with after-hours on-call coverage, as well as the SA Virtual Emergency Services (SAVES), ensuring strong clinical support at all times.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW/WHAT IS ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS?

Working in this environment, it is important to use that we employ people with the utmost integrity and commitment to provide a service to the highest possible standard to all visitors.  To ensure that we meet that commitment there are a few checks that you will be required to undertake.  These are detailed on the Role Description, but are likely to include:

• Registration or eligibility for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
• Undergo employment screening and meet immunisation requirements.
