WHERE YOU'LL BE AND WHAT YOU'LL DO

Peterborough is a vibrant rural town where past and present blend seamlessly, offering a warm country welcome and a truly memorable lifestyle. Set within a striking landscape of golden plains stretching toward ancient mountain ranges, the town is surrounded by natural beauty and a deep sense of history.

The wide, tree-lined Main Street showcases grand historic architecture and a lively local atmosphere. With four classic country pubs, friendly faces, and a genuine “G’day” around every corner, Peterborough captures the essence of Australian rural life. Its charm lies in the balance between honouring its industrial heritage and embracing modern living.

The town proudly celebrates its past through museums and collections that bring its story to life, while a thriving arts scene, local creativity, and public art add colour and vibrancy to the present day. Peterborough also takes pride in its locally sourced food, with farmers, producers, and chefs working together to deliver fresh, homegrown cuisine inspired by the region’s strong agricultural roots. And in true country style, there’s always time for a good yarn.

Peterborough Hospital plays an essential role in supporting the health and wellbeing of the community. The hospital has 12 acute beds and 11 Residential Aged Care (RAC) beds, delivering a range of vital services including:

• 24-hour accident and emergency care
• Acute medical services
• Aged care services
• Medical imaging
