Snowtown is a peaceful and welcoming town in South Australia’s Mid North, located just 150 kilometres from Adelaide. Positioned along the main road and rail routes linking Adelaide and Perth, the town is surrounded by the scenic Barunga Gap and Hummocks Ranges, offering a beautiful rural setting with easy accessibility.

The town boasts excellent community facilities, including sporting and recreation grounds, a community swimming pool, school and childcare services. Snowtown is also conveniently located near the world-renowned Clare Valley wine region and within easy reach of the township of Clare and the stunning beaches of the Copper Coast, providing a fantastic balance of lifestyle and convenience.

Snowtown Hospital delivers a range of essential healthcare services in a modern, welcoming environment. The service includes:

  • 3 acute beds and 5 MPS aged care beds within the hospital building
  • 19 aged care beds in the recently refurbished Lumeah Home
  • All rooms are single with private ensuites

Services provided include:

  • 24-hour accident and emergency care
  • Acute inpatient services
  • Palliative care
  • Residential aged care
  • Visiting General Practitioner and Allied Health services

  • Registration or eligibility for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
