Whyalla Hospital and Health Services is one of the largest regional hospitals in South Australia, offering 75 beds, including flex beds and a dedicated High Dependency Unit. We provide a comprehensive range of services, including emergency care, medical and surgical services, maternity, rehabilitation, mental health, and outpatient clinics. Our Cancer Resource Centre is among the largest in regional SA, featuring six chemotherapy chairs, outpatient care, and counselling services - helping patients receive vital treatment close to home. We are also proud to be one of only three regional stroke services in South Australia, delivering specialised stroke treatment 24/7 in partnership with metropolitan stroke units. Living and Working in the Flinders and Upper North Region - Whyalla

 

About the Role:

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will support the Registered Nurse/Midwife in delivering safe, person-centred care across a range of clinical settings. You will contribute to quality improvement initiatives, assist the healthcare team in day-to-day care, guide Assistants in Nursing and students, and provide education to patients, families, and carers. You will also maintain your own professional development while applying evidence-based practice and building your clinical confidence.

 

About You:

  • You must be enrolled or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • You must have experience in the provision of nursing care in the healthcare setting in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.

Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances)
