About the Role:

An exciting opportunity is now available to join the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Billing and Debt Recovery Officer within our Hospital Revenue Services unit. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced administrative environment and is motivated by accuracy, efficiency and exceptional service delivery.

As a Billing and Debt Recovery Officer, you will support the Revenue Supervisor in ensuring the effective and timely processing of key hospital billing and accounts functions. Your work will help maintain smooth financial operations across the organisation, contributing directly to the sustainability of vital healthcare services.

In this position, you may be responsible for a range of important tasks, including generating invoices and Medicare or health fund claims, managing private practice billing processes and ensuring all billing activities are completed accurately and on schedule. You will also support debt management by monitoring outstanding balances, arranging follow‑ups, processing waivers or write‑offs and maintaining clear and organised accounts receivable records.

Your responsibilities will further include processing doctor and hospital disbursements, preparing financial reports and reconciliations, assisting with compliance reviews, and contributing to broader service improvements. You will also prepare data for entry into computer systems and spreadsheets, perform analytical checks and support general cashier activities where required. Through these varied tasks, you will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, transparency and efficiency across the network.
