About the Role:
An exciting leadership opportunity is available within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) for an experienced Team Manager to lead the Wondakka Community Rehabilitation Centre (CRC) - a specialist community-based residential service delivering contemporary mental health rehabilitation.
Wondakka CRC is a 20-bed facility providing high-quality, evidence-based mental health rehabilitation and disability support for adults aged 18 and over. The service operates within a welcoming, home-like environment, comprising seven self-contained residential units and staffed 24 hours a day by a dedicated multidisciplinary team of clinical and non-clinical professionals. At its core, Wondakka delivers person-centred, recovery-oriented rehabilitation programs that support consumers to build skills, strengthen community connections, and achieve their individual recovery goals.
As the Team Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the integrated multidisciplinary Wondakka team. You will ensure the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of compassionate, solution-focused rehabilitation services that are grounded in best practice and aligned with recovery-oriented frameworks. This is a key leadership position responsible for shaping the direction, culture, and performance of the service.
In this role, you will oversee service demand, workload allocation, and staffing, while ensuring high standards of governance, quality improvement, and clinical and administrative support. You will monitor service delivery, guide data collection and evaluation, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes for consumers and carers.
Equally important, you will play a pivotal role in building and sustaining strong, collaborative partnerships, working closely within the Division of Mental Health, across NALHN, with other government departments, and with external agencies. Your leadership will foster meaningful engagement, promote social inclusion, and support consumers to progress confidently toward recovery and independence.
To be eligible for this position at AHP4 classification, you must hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification for one of the following Allied Health disciplines working in the service, specifically:
- Appropriate degree (Masters in Clinical or Health Psychology) or equivalent qualification recognised by the PsyBA and general registration with the PsyBA. Must hold approved supervisor status with the PsyBA at all levels of supervision.
- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
To be eligible for this position at RN3 classification, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, and enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or holds a qualification in mental health practice.
