Health Executive Assistant - Corporate Nursing | Contribute to World-Class Healthcare

Join SA Health as an Executive Assistant supporting Corporate Nursing at Flinders Medical Centre, where you'll provide high-level administrative support to senior nursing leadership within South Australia's most trusted healthcare network. This full-time contract position, running until March 2027, offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic nursing initiatives while working alongside dedicated healthcare professionals committed to excellence in patient care. Based in Adelaide's southern metropolitan area, you'll play an important role in supporting quality improvement projects and healthcare delivery across the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network.

About the role: 

Reporting to the Senior Office Manager, this role is responsible for providing an effective and efficient confidential administrative and project support service to an assigned member of the Executive within the Office of the CEO that contributes to the timely achievement of Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) service objectives.

Duties for the role will include:

  • Efficiently coordinate and maintain the executive’s calendar, ensuring optimal use of their time and effective scheduling of meetings and appointments,
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and preparing for executive-level meetings, conferences, and events,
  • Providing an Executive Officer role to meetings and committees as designated, including, compiling meeting materials, agendas, presentations, taking minutes, following up on action items and researching or sourcing of information as required,
  • Serve as a liaison point between the designated Executive and internal and external stakeholders, representing the Executive office with a positive and professional demeanour and promoting effective communication and coordination,
  • Contribute to the maintenance of effective relationships between the designated Executive, the Executive’s direct reports, the Office of the CEO, and all other units of SALHN,
  • Responsible for the provision of a confidential administrative service to the designated Executive,
  • Prepare correspondence and briefings

About you:

  • Proven ability to work with a high degree of independence, determine priorities and anticipate the requirements of an Executive Team, and be able to demonstrate high-level oral and written communication skills,
  • Proven ability to recognise and discreetly deal with confidential matters; demonstrate integrity of the highest order and exerciser diplomatic skills appropriate to sensitive and high-level issues,
  • Proven ability to prepare timely, clear and concise written communication, pro-actively identify problems and issues and exercise initiative and sound judgement in formulating and implementing solutions and actions,
  • Proven experience in a similar role, highlighting sound organisational skills,
  • Experience in arranging and providing high level support for meetings, conferences and functions,
  • Experience in effectively dealing with senior staff
