About the Role

Join our team and be part of a collaborative HR function that supports people and performance across the organisation. As an Assistant Human Resources Consultant, you will deliver timely advice, consultancy, and administrative support to a designated site, working alongside HR Consultants on a range of activities including recruitment and selection, industrial relations, classification, training and development, governance, and organisational development. You will support managers and staff, contribute to project work, identify and escalate more complex matters, and help ensure the delivery of efficient, high-quality HR services while building strong relationships and promoting best practice.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear HR advice and build trusted relationships with staff and leaders.
  • Proven ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks, and work both independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
  • Experience delivering HR advisory or operational services, including research, analysis, and report writing.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters, undertake investigations, and prepare confidential correspondence.
  • Sound knowledge of contemporary HR practices, SA Public Sector frameworks, and commitment to a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace.
