Overview:

The Senior Project Officer – Unplanned Care:

  • Contributes to the successful delivery of a range of complex projects and initiatives that contribute to the development of service redesign, policies and strategies that aim to support health program improvements.
  • Contributes to critical analysis of data and information to support evidence-based decision-making and evaluates and monitors projects to identify issues and barriers.
  • Works collaboratively with Local Health Networks (LHNs), SA Ambulance Service (SAAS) and other service providers and stakeholders to coordinate and implement project plans and strategies to support health system service initiatives.
  • Significantly contributes as an integral member of the Health Services Programs Branch and to the achievement of key program goals and objectives.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

  • A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment).

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact).

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

Special Conditions

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification in health or business related discipline or project management.
  • An understanding of the other Government and non-Government health related agencies, funding programs and activities.
  • A clear understanding of the SA public health system and its operations attained through experience within an operational setting e.g. Health Service or Health Unit.
