WHAT ARE WE OFFERING? 

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our dedicated team within the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network. In this role, you will provide expert clinical nursing care and support the development and delivery of effective wound care. You will provide advanced nursing services with a strong focus on the assessment, planning, and management of clients with complex wounds. 

As the Wound Care clinician you will deliver expert clinical care, supporting evidence-based treatment planning, and providing specialist advice to improve patient outcomes. A key component of the role includes educating and assessing the competency of nursing staff within inpatient and outpatient settings to ensure safe, consistent, and high-quality wound care practice.

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE? 

  • Provide expert wound care assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing clinical management for patients with complex wounds in the acute setting.  
  • Deliver day-to-day clinical leadership within the team, ensuring care plans are monitored and optimal patient outcomes are achieved.  
  • Coordinate and deliver wound care education, training, and competency assessment for nursing and multidisciplinary staff to support best practice care.  
  • Contribute to service development, clinical governance, and improvement activities including protocols, guidelines, audits, and change management initiatives.  
  • Support multidisciplinary collaboration and provide specialist advice to enhance continuity of care, patient flow, and evidence-based wound management practices.
