Join SA Health as Nurse Unit Manager for the Flinders Infusion Suite and lead a specialist nursing team delivering life-changing anti-cancer treatments to patients across South Australia. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cancer Nurse Leader to provide clinical and operational leadership within this specialised service.  This full-time, ongoing role at Flinders Medical Centre located in the Flinders Cancer Centre, offers the perfect blend of clinical leadership, professional growth, and meaningful patient impact within Australia's most innovative public health network. About the role: 

Reporting to the Advanced Nursing Director, some of your key duties for the role:

  • Manage workforce planning, rostering, leave and performance to support effective service delivery
  • Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred care and anti-cancer drug therapy in line with SA health polices and professional standards
  • Budget preparation, monitoring and reporting and adherence to resources allocations
  • Provide leadership and direction, acts as a role model, mentor, consultant and resource person
  • Ensure mechanisms are in place to support ongoing staff education where work and learning are integrated

About you:

  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience
  • Experience in the leadership and management of Registered Nurses and managing a clinical area
  • Experience with anti-cancer therapy administration 
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a workplace environment that develops staff potential and wellbeing
  • Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines
