Living and Working in the Flinders and Upper North Region - Port Augusta

 

About the Role:

As an Associate Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager – Urology, you will provide proficient, person-centred nursing/midwifery care while supporting the leadership of the ward/unit. You will oversee care delivery, monitor patient outcomes, and contribute to the coordination of services across the multidisciplinary team.

In this role, you will assist the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager with clinical, education and management activities, including supporting staff development, implementing practice changes, and contributing to staffing, rostering and resource planning. You will also provide leadership within the team, support a learning culture, and contribute to quality improvement and research activities.

 

About You:

  • You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • You must be a registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
  • You must have demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
  • You must have experience in the supervision of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.

Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances)
