About the Role:

Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is eager to recruit experienced Physiotherapists to provide clinical education services for students on clinical placements in NALHN (Acute Care or Musculoskeletal Outpatient placements). This is a rewarding opportunity to shape the next generation of physiotherapists while contributing to high-quality patient care across a dynamic and growing health network.

In this role, you will be responsible to the Director of Physiotherapy for the development, coordination, delivery and evaluation of high-quality physiotherapy student clinical education services. You will ensure students receive meaningful, well-supported clinical placement experiences while maintaining exemplary standards of patient care across NALHN acute and outpatient services.

Working collaboratively with university partners, physiotherapy colleagues and the broader multidisciplinary team, you will deliver high-level clinical education and leadership within acute care settings. Your expertise will support optimal patient functional and health outcomes, while your guidance and supervision will foster confidence, capability and professional growth in students and less experienced staff.

As a highly skilled clinician and educator, you will provide clinical leadership, assist in service development, and adapt to the evolving needs of both education and service delivery.

Appointment to the role will be at the AHP2 or AHP3 classification, dependent on the level of experience.

To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.

About You:

In this role you will bring demonstrated expertise in acute inpatient and/or outpatient physiotherapy assessment and treatment, supported by experience in student clinical education. You will be confident working with minimal supervision in fast-paced clinical environments and committed to continuous professional development aligned with NALHN objectives. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with proven time management abilities to effectively manage caseloads and competing priorities. You will demonstrate strong clinical reasoning across a broad range of conditions and possess strong leadership capabilities, including supervision, mentoring and service coordination. High-level interpersonal skills, including negotiation, consultation and conflict resolution, will support your ability to build effective partnerships with culturally diverse patients, families, universities and multidisciplinary stakeholders. You will thrive working both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team, with flexibility and resilience to adapt to changing service demands.

If you are motivated by excellence in education, leadership and patient care and are ready to make a lasting impact on students, colleagues and the community, we encourage you to apply and take the next step in your professional journey with NALHN.
