About the Role:

Step into an exciting leadership opportunity within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) in our North East Community Health Service. This is your chance to contribute to a service that plays a vital role in the lives of our community members, while advancing your own professional journey.

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality mental health care. You will uphold strong practice standards, support safe delegation, and guide less experienced staff, working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure compassionate, consistent and person‑centred care for patients during some of their most vulnerable moments.

Your involvement in staffing, rostering, performance processes and daily operational management will help create a stable, responsive and supportive environment - one that directly enhances the experience and recovery journey of every mental health patient who enters the unit.

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Must be enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or holds a qualification in mental health practice.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will bring skills that enable effective problem‑solving, conflict resolution and negotiation, including the confidence to engage in difficult conversations while maintaining positive working relationships. Your communication is clear, and your leadership style inspires trust, naturally fostering collaboration and creating a workplace where people feel valued and empowered.

You work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and manage competing priorities with professionalism and minimal supervision. With at least three years of post‑registration experience, you demonstrate competence aligned with professional standards and have experience supervising student nurses, enrolled nurses and early‑career registered nurses.
