Overview:

  • The Senior Data Quality Officer is accountable to the Application Lead (Data Quality Management), and provides leadership, oversight and guidance to the Data Quality Officers. 
  • The Senior Data Quality Officer maintains the integrity of client registration data across enterprise applications through data matching, monitoring, auditing, verification in the Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI)and by providing support to users throughout SA Health, as well as monitoring and adherence to service level agreements.
  • The incumbent is responsible for monitoring outbound secure messaging and resolving any messaging errors.
  • The incumbent will contribute to day-to-day management of the EMPI and Data Quality Officer team ensuring that the team achieves its’ business outcomes, namely that the most current person demographics and identifiers are available for all persons having contact with the Health System in SA Health regardless of residency or eligibility.

  • A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

Special Conditions

  • May be required to work outside of normal business hours.
  • The incumbent may be required to travel or work across and/or be located at any of the Department of Health units/divisions as required.
