About the role

Step into a pivotal leadership role where your expertise truly shapes patient outcomes. As a Senior Pharmacist, you will take ownership of a designated pharmacy area, overseeing its organisation, management and day-to-day operations while delivering a comprehensive, high-level pharmacy service. You’ll apply your clinical knowledge with confidence and autonomy, providing trusted medicines information and therapeutic advice to patients, as well as to medical, nursing and allied health professionals. Your work will directly support safe, effective and evidence-based care, ensuring the quality use of medicines across the hospital.

In this collaborative and dynamic environment, you’ll work closely with the Director of Pharmacy and fellow pharmacists while also guiding and supporting staff within your area, including rotational pharmacists, assistants and administrative team members. You’ll build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams and engage with the wider community and primary health providers. About You

You are an experienced and motivated pharmacy professional who brings strong clinical expertise, leadership capability and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care within a hospital setting.

  • Tertiary qualified with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and registered, or eligible for registration, with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
  • Extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory capability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and engage with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Highly organised and analytical, with proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and drive service improvements
