Join Maitland Hospital as a part-time Infection Control Nurse and be at the forefront of keeping our patients and staff safe across the Yorke and Mid North Community.  This ongoing role offers professional challenge with flexible work arrangements in an inclusive and empowering healthcare team.

What you'll do

  • lead infection and control initiatives across hospital departments
  • Conduct surveillance, outbreak investigations, and risk assessments
  • Deliver education and training on best-practice infection control
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet national safety standards
  • Drive quality improvement and support risk management initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Post tertiary qualifications in infection control or willingness to enrol in further postgraduate studies in infection control essential.
  • Registered as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold a current practicing certificate.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills; able to work independently.
  • Expertise in infection prevention and control, meeting professional standards.
  • Skilled in prioritising workload, using relevant software, and applying creative, flexible clinical solutions.
