About the Role

Join as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) of the Pregnancy Advisory Centre (PAC) where you will provide compassionate and specialised care for women and pregnant people undergoing first and second trimester terminations. Your responsibilities will include conducting pre-termination consultations for both medication and surgical options, as well as offering aftercare services to ensure the best outcomes for clients. You will play a critical role in providing direct nursing care, particularly for clients undergoing second trimester terminations, both pre- and post-operatively. You will support unit operations, guide clinical care, build team capability and step up to coordinate the unit when needed and support the Nurse Unit Manager and nursing leadership team.

Your role will include:

• Support NUM with unit oversight and service delivery
• Coordinate care and lead shifts when NUM absent
• Deliver direct, patient centred clinical care
• Guide staff, delegate tasks and support safe practice
• Monitor care quality and drive continuous improvement

About You

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as the ANUM for PAC. To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Registration with the Nursing / Midwifery Board of Australia or eligibility to register, with a current practising certificate.
  • Proven ability to provide comprehensive care, support clients from diverse backgrounds, and assess staff competence while promoting team learning.
  • Experience in person-centred care for women and pregnant people, with a strong background in perioperative and clinical settings.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, nursing standards, quality improvement, and aseptic techniques to ensure the highest level of care.

You’re must be a confident nurse ready to step up, support others and help lead safe, high quality care in a specialised setting.

• Registered nurse with AHPRA registration
• Deliver comprehensive care and follow clinical standards
• Communicate clearly and build strong team relationships
• Assess staff capability and delegate care safely
• Bring perioperative or acute care experience
