Join our Administrative Team!

 We are seeking a dedicated Administration Assistant to support our team at Flinders Medical Centre within the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network. The Administrative Officer is multi-skilled in all administrative aspects of a Division of Rehabilitation, Aged and Palliative Care (DivRAP). They are responsible for the provision of confidential, efficient and comprehensive customer orientated frontline administrative support. 

About the role: 

Reporting to the Administration Manager, some of your duties for the role will include:

  • Ensuring an efficient, comprehensive, customer orientated administrative service is provided to all ambulatory care clinics conducted by DivRAP.
  • Working collaboratively and flexibly within both the admin team and broader Rehab, Aged and Palliative Care team
  • Responding appropriately and promptly to telephone enquiries, providing up to date information, resources and referral options in a courteous and confidential manner
  • Managing referrals and waitlist and check in and check out patients, booking of appointments, updating records and accurate marking of files

About you:

  • Ability to liaise and relate well with empathy to a variety of people, including elderly and disabled clients and to handle enquiries from a range of staff, patients and visitors
  • Ability to undertake (or capacity to learn) data management, manipulation, extraction and minor systems development of Sunrise EMR
  • Proven experience and computing skills, including email and word processing, excel
  • Demonstrate good organisational skills and ability to prioritise work, with an eye to detail
  • Working in a collaborative team environment
