Overview:

  • The Senior Spend Analytics Specialist is responsible for leading the development, enhancement, and adoption of SA Health’s enterprise spend analytics capability. The role partners closely with Local Health Networks (LHNs) and corporate stakeholders to deliver actionable insights, improve data quality, and drive measurable value through better visibility and management of procurement and service-related spend.

  • This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and is expected to influence stakeholders, shape analytics direction, and deliver outcomes at a statewide level.

  • The role reports to the Director, Corporate Systems Support and works closely with internal and external stakeholders across SA Health and the SA Government, including Local Health Networks, Finance, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, ICT, eHealth Services, Shared Services SA, and external service providers to support statewide outcomes.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

  • A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment).

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact).

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

Special Conditions

  • Knowledge of spend classification frameworks (e.g. UNSPSC).
  • Experience in healthcare, government, or large enterprise environments.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP) and enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience in benefits realisation or commercial analysis.
