Director Clinical Training Lead Medical Education Excellence in Regional South Australia

Join Yorke and Northern Local Health Network as Director Clinical Training and take clinical leadership for medical education across our regional network.  This part-time, short-term contract offers an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of prevocational medical training while supporting the professional development of interns, trainee medical officers, and international medical graduates.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership ensuring high-quality education, training, assessment and support for interns, Trainee Medical Officers and international Medical Graduates
  • Ensure compliance with SA MET, AHPRA and AMC standards for prevocational medical education
  • Support welfare and professional transition of trainees from limited to general registration
  • Participate in quality, safety, clinical risk management and continuing professional development activities
  • Collate performance evidence and collaborate with Executive Director of Medical Services for assessment requirements

Essential Requirements

You will hold MBBS or equivalent with appropriate specialist qualifications and AHPRA specialist registration. We seek candidates with demonstrated senior clinical leadership experience, expertise in developing and implementing education programmes, and comprehensive knowledge of SAMET, AHPRA and AMC standards. Strong analytical thinking, exceptional communication skills, and commitment to medical education excellence are essential.
