About the Role

As a Community Activity Coordinator, you will deliver engaging, centre-based lifestyle programs for participants under the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and related services.  This role is hands on and people focused, involving the planning and delivery of meaningful activities, supporting individual goals and coordinating day-to-day program operations within a welcoming community environment.

You'll work closely with participants, families and staff to create inclusive, culturally appropriate programs that promote independence, social connection and wellbeing.

In this role you will:

  • Plan and deliver lifestyle programs, including diversional therapy and culturally appropriate activities
  • Support participant assessment, goal setting and care planning in collaboration with coordinators
  • Coordinate Community Activity Assistants and oversee day-to-day centre operations
  • Maintain records, respond to enquiries and work collaboratively with staff and community networks

What You'll Bring

  • Experience working with or as a volunteer in aged care, health or community services, supporting older or vulnerable people
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work autonomously
  • Effective time management, organisation, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Administration experience, Microsoft Office proficiency and knowledge of aged care programs (e.g. CHSP, HCP)
