Overview:

The Senior Financial Advisor reports to the Principal Financial Advisor and is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of an advisory finance support function to the Department by providing:

  • Effective delivery of information in managing financial performance, monitoring, reporting and analysis;
  • Effective budget development and forecasting;
  • Expert financial operational advice.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

  • A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment).

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact).

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

Special Conditions

  • Demonstrated knowledge of political, social and economic parameters that impact the planning, development, funding delivery and management of health services.
  • Demonstrate relevant experience in a public or private health sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing financial management, budgeting and reporting improvement initiatives and processes. And successful record of providing quality services to customers, particularly in a consultative environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in the strategic management of financial resources, undertaking financial business analysis, developing financial strategies to improve financial performance and providing concise written financial reports.
