WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?
The role provides advanced nursing care across a range of mental health service settings, supporting the delivery of recovery-oriented, evidence-based practice for consumers with complex needs. Practitioners at this level demonstrate development from competent to proficient practice, take accountability for their own clinical work, and are responsible for appropriate delegation and supervision of others.
Working in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager and Associate Nurse Unit Managers, the role contributes to the leadership and coordination of nursing services within the unit. This includes supporting continuity of care, assisting with service delivery across multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to operational management functions such as staffing, rostering, recruitment, performance processes, leave management, and resource planning.

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?
You will……….
- Deliver proficient, person-centred nursing care and/or case management in mental health settings, ensuring care plans are effectively implemented and monitored.
- Support and coordinate nursing and multidisciplinary service delivery within a team or unit, assisting with operational problem-solving and consumer flow.
- Provide leadership within the nursing team, including mentoring, clinical guidance, and supporting less experienced staff and students.
- Contribute to education, training, and a positive learning culture through clinical teaching, supervision, and supporting professional development.
- Participate in quality improvement activities including clinical audits, evaluation, and evidence-based practice to improve consumer outcomes.
