About the Role

Join our compassionate team as a Direct Care Worker (Residential), supporting residents across Elmhaven Hostel and Streaky Bay Hospital Aged Care. This casual opportunity offers flexible working arrangements across a 7-day roster, allowing you to make a meaningful difference while enjoying work-life balance.

In this role, you will provide hands-on support and person-centred care to residents, contributing to their wellbeing, independence, and quality of life. Working within a close-knit, multidisciplinary team, you’ll assist with daily care, support diversional therapy activities, and help create a safe, welcoming environment for residents and their families.

Located in the beautiful coastal community of Streaky Bay on the Eyre Peninsula, this role offers a unique lifestyle opportunity- combining rewarding work with a relaxed, community-focused way of life. You’ll be supported by an experienced and dedicated team, with access to ongoing training and development in a well-established aged care service co-located with the local hospital.

  • Support residents with daily care needs while promoting independence and wellbeing
  • Assist in delivering diversional therapy activities for individuals and groups
  • Record and report observations, maintaining accurate documentation and care plans
  • Contribute to a safe, efficient environment by following procedures and supporting team operations
