Port Augusta Hospital and Regional Health Service is a leading regional hospital in South Australia, offering 58 beds, including flex and monitored beds, and a broad range of services such as emergency care, general and surgical services, maternity, outpatient clinics, and outreach programs. We are proud to provide chemotherapy services, along with a Renal Dialysis Unit and a Paediatric Department - both the largest outside of Adelaide - ensuring advanced care close to home for our community. Living and Working in the Flinders and Upper North Region - Port Augusta

About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver person-centred care by assessing patient needs and planning, implementing and coordinating appropriate services to support positive outcomes. You will work with increasing independence while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and other services to ensure safe, effective care. In this role, you will contribute to quality improvement initiatives, support team coordination, and step into leadership responsibilities when required. You will also be involved in health education, support students and new staff, and apply evidence-based practice in your day-to-day care. As your experience develops, you will provide guidance to less experienced staff and contribute to maintaining high standards of care across the service.

About You:

• You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
• You must have demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.

Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances)
