About the Role

The Occupational Therapist works as a valued member of the multidisciplinary team at Eastern Community Mental Health Service

  • Supports people with complex mental health challenges to achieve their meaningful goals
  • Role includes a combination of clinical coordination and specialised occupational therapy assessments and interventions
  • Incorporates an occupational therapy perspective to care to deliver contemporary, evidence-based mental health practice
  • Provides clinical services aimed at reducing barriers to recovery and supporting safe and supported community living
  • Part of a supportive team environment alongside other occupational therapists
  • Receives regular professional supervision and continuing professional development
  • Actively involved in quality improvement initiatives

About You

You’re an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about continuing, or transitioning, to working in tertiary mental health services.

You are seeking a challenge and an opportunity to improve outcomes for people living with mental health needs.

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist who is eligible for AHPRA registration
  • Skilled in evidence-based assessments and interventions
  • Experience supporting complex care in multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communicator with sound clinical documentation skills
  • Able to provide supervision to junior staff and students and can work with minimal oversight
