About the Role:

We are seeking dedicated Physiotherapists to join our rehabilitation service within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network based at Modbury. These positions offer the chance to work with a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to patients recovering from various conditions including stroke and other neurological disorders, amputees and orthopaedic injuries. Areas of work may include:

  • The Day Rehabilitation Service: a short-term outpatient program conducted within in a purpose-built rehabilitation centre at Modbury. DRS provides multi-disciplinary, goal-oriented rehabilitation, with the aim of maximising function and independence.
  • Rehabilitation in the Home: a short-term community outreach service, providing people who have been in hospital with access to Allied Health, Medical and Nursing in their home, instead of in a hospital setting.
  • Inpatient Rehabilitation: a 52-bed inpatient service across 3 wards providing hospital based intensive rehabilitation for people who are unable to receive home-based rehabilitation. The patient cohort consists of neurological, amputation, stroke, surgical, orthopaedic and specialist conditions including, cardiac, pain and pulmonary.

As part of our dedicated team, you'll deliver comprehensive physiotherapy services that directly impact patient outcomes and community wellbeing. Working within our integrated health network, you'll have access to state-of-the-art facilities and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams committed to excellence in patient care.

In this role, you'll be instrumental in improving patient endurance, management of their respiratory condition and other co-morbidities and enhancing quality of life for diverse communities. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of delivering accessible, high-quality healthcare services.

To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.

To thrive in this role, you will possess well‑developed skills in physiotherapy assessment and evidence‑based treatment techniques, along with proven competence in managing a diverse clinical caseload. You will show a commitment to ongoing professional growth through self‑directed learning, and demonstrate clear, confident communication in both verbal and written forms. Effective time management, and the ability to collaborate within inter‑disciplinary teams are essential. Experience using Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel, as well as relevant database systems, will support efficient documentation and workflow.
