About the role: 

  •  Overseeing the delivery of safe, high-quality medical care across SALHN sites, including monitoring clinical outcomes, managing risks, and maintaining systems that support effective clinical practice.
  •  Leading recruitment, development, and performance management of medical staff, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and compliance with relevant legislation.
  • From time to time, the incumbent may act in the EDMS role to cover leave or other operational requirements.

About you:

  • Demonstrated high standard of clinical practice at Consultant level for a minimum of 5 years
  • Demonstrated professional integrity, leadership and motivational skills.
  • Extensive experience in undertaking clinical review
  • Experience with the supervision and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff.
