  • Salary: RN/RM1 $77,824 - $106,187 p.a. (pro rata) + Attraction Incentive + Allowances + Leave Loading + Salary Sacrifice benefits + 12% Superannuation
  • Ongoing Part-time position, with flexible FTE options up to a maximum of 0.8 FTE or Minimum 0.5 FTE that would include a roster of two weeks onsite (paid), followed by two weeks off (unpaid) for 0.5FTE option.

About the role

As a Registered Nurse/Midwife (RN/M1), you will provide person-centred care across a range of clinical settings, supporting individuals, families and the broader community.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, developing your skills from novice to proficient practitioner while gaining valuable rural and remote experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess individual patient/client needs and plan, implement, and coordinate appropriate service delivery, collaborating with other disciplines or agencies as needed.
  • Provide direct, person-centered nursing/midwifery care and individual case management to patients/clients in a defined clinical area, gradually increasing autonomy over time.
  • Plan and coordinate services with other disciplines or agencies to address individual health care needs.
  • Within established guidelines, assess clients in a multidisciplinary primary health care setting, select and implement therapeutic interventions and support programs, and evaluate progress.

Employees in this role have the opportunity to work on a fly-in/fly-out basis within South Australia. The roster consists of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. This opportunity offers exceptional work life balance. There are additional monetary incentives in addition to the base salary consisting of the following:

  • Attraction Incentive – Consisting of $25,000 paid as a lump sum at the completion of first 12 month’s service; then paid fortnightly as a retention allowance for an additional 12 months thereafter.
  • Regional and Remote Zone and Locality Allowance – Zone 4
  • Professional Development Allowance
  • Paid intrastate travel along with accommodation in Coober Pedy
  • 6 weeks annual paid recreation leave

  • Registration (or eligibility) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Minimum 1 year post-registration experience
