About the role

The Administration Officer delivers professional, timely customer service as first point of contact. The Administration Officer handles enquiries, directs patients, communicates effectively, and builds strong relationships while supporting Child and Family Health Service operations.

Key duties of the role

  • Act as the ‘first point of contact’ for both front of counter and telephone customers.
  • Identify customer needs and provide accurate and timely information.
  • Process and direct enquiries accurately and efficiently.
  • Record client referral information, including the maintenance of databases and waiting lists.
  • Monitor correspondence and maintain accurate records.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience working in a demanding frontline customer service position within a Health Service.
  • Experience maintaining electronic and hard copy client record Managing appointment bookings.
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different working environments.
  • Ability to maintain sensitivity, integrity and confidentiality.
