  • The Queen Elizabeth & Royal Adelaide Hospitals (Central Adelaide Local Health Network
  • Flinders Medical Centre (Southern Adelaide Local Health Network)
  • Lyell McEwin Hospital (Northern Adelaide Local Health Network)
  • SA Pathology (Statewide Clinical Support Services) 
  • MDP2 $99,707 to $158,523 p.a. + super + salary packaging 
  • Multiple full-time, temporary positions
  • Duration of the Training Program: 12 months from 02/02/2027 to 31/01/2028
  • Term of the Contract: 3 years (in line with clause 55 of the Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement).  At the end of the training program, CALHN will work with the employee to assist find a suitable placement within SA Health for the remainder of the 3-year contract, if necessary.

About the Role

Join a leading Microbiology & Infectious Diseases team delivering patient focused care across South Australia’s Local Health Networks. Work alongside clinical leaders shaping statewide health reform while building advanced specialist skills. Contribute to high quality care, education, research and prevention in a collaborative teaching environment.

  • Deliver patient focused care across inpatient and outpatient services
  • Assess and manage complex infectious disease presentations
  • Support diagnosis, treatment and long-term care planning
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the network
  • Guide and support junior doctors and medical students
  • Contribute to teaching, research and quality improvement
  • Promote prevention and health focused care initiatives
  • Develop specialist expertise under senior clinician supervision

About You

Bring your clinical skills, professionalism and passion for learning to a supportive specialist training environment. We’re looking for motivated doctors ready to grow their expertise, contribute to team-based care and make a meaningful impact across SA Health.

  • MBBS or equivalent with General Registration
  • Eligible for RACP Advanced Training Program
  • Deliver safe, high quality patient centred care
  • Build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams
  • Show sound judgement, integrity and adaptability
