    • RN/M1 $77,824 to $106,187 p.a.  adjusted to actual hours worked 

    • RN/M2C $90,913 to $114,917 p.a. adjusted to actual hours worked 

  • 35% Midwifery Group Practice caseload allowance applies.
  • Ongoing, Part-Time (32 hours per week - worked over a 7 day roster) 

 

This position is multi‑classed as either RN/M1 or RN/M2C and the appointment classification will be determined by qualifications and experience. 

  

WHAT ARE WE OFFERING? 

Join our multi-disciplinary team as a Midwife or Clinical Midwife within our Northern Midwifery Group Practice and make a real difference in patient care within a supportive, collaborative environment.  The Northern Midwifery Group supports birthing families at Gawler Health Service and Kapunda Hospital. 

If you are passionate about providing women and family-centred clinical care through oversight of patient care plans and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes for patients and clients every day, then look no further.  Midwives working in MGP work across the midwifery continuum, providing caseload continuity of care within a small dynamic MGP team.

You will play a vital role in supporting health service systems, assisting in planning, coordinating, and resolving care or service delivery challenges, while contributing to wider projects such as clinical protocols and process improvements. MGP midwives play a role in supporting students, new staff, and colleagues, fostering a culture of learning, reflection, and professional development.

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE? 

You will………. 

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing/midwifery care and case management, ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based outcomes for patients and clients.  

  • Provide clinical leadership and coordination within the team/unit, overseeing care delivery, facilitating patient flow, and supporting multidisciplinary collaboration.  

  • Support operational and service improvement activities, including change management, problem solving, development of clinical protocols, and coordination of services across disciplines.  

  • Contribute to education, mentoring, and workforce development by supporting students, new staff, and less experienced clinicians through teaching, guidance, and professional development activities.  

  • Participate in quality improvement, clinical auditing, research, and evaluation activities to enhance patient outcomes and maintain high standards of clinical practice.
