WHAT ARE WE OFFERING? 

The Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network are seeking compassionate and motivated Direct Care Workers. We are offering a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents of the Carnarvon and Anchusa Nursing Homes by delivering compassionate, person-centred care within a supportive Residential Care team. You will work collaboratively with nurses and multidisciplinary professionals in a structured environment that values teamwork, respect, and high-quality care, while building your skills in direct care and resident support.

  • Do you have experience providing compassionate, person-centred care to aged, frail, or disabled individuals in a residential or health setting?
  • Are you able to observe, report, and document resident care accurately while maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to policies and procedures?
  • Can you work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a positive, safe, and respectful workplace culture?
  • Are you adaptable and reliable, with strong communication skills, a commitment to cultural respect, and a willingness to learn and maintain your skills?

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

  • You will provide compassionate, person-centred care by supporting residents with daily activities, reporting observations, and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • You will contribute to resident wellbeing by delivering and supporting diversional therapy activities tailored to individual and group needs.
  • You will support the smooth operation of the unit by following procedures, assisting colleagues, and using equipment and systems effectively.
  • You will maintain a safe, respectful, and positive environment by adhering to WHS requirements, protecting confidentiality, and contributing to a strong team culture.
