Flinders Medical Centre is seeking dedicated Registered and Enrolled Nurses to join our Outpatient Support Services team!

Working as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse in our Outpatient Support Services team offers a rewarding and varied nursing experience with excellent work-life balance through Monday to Friday hours. You will care for patients across multiple specialty clinics. Each day brings new challenges as you support patients through their healthcare journey, from initial assessments to post-procedure follow-ups. You will develop expertise in specialised procedures, work autonomously while being part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, and have the satisfaction of seeing patients progress through their treatment plans. The outpatient environment allows you to build meaningful relationships with patients and their families while expanding your clinical skills across diverse medical specialties. About you:

  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Strong problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation abilities to address complex patient care situations, manage challenging interactions, and collaborate effectively to achieve optimal healthcare outcomes
  • Creative, innovative and flexible approach to healthcare challenges with the ability to adapt to changing clinical environments and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Previous experience in outpatient healthcare settings with understanding of clinic workflows, patient scheduling systems, pre and post procedure care requirements, and the coordination of multidisciplinary specialty services
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as either a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse, with an active practising certificate and commitment to maintaining professional development and continuing education requirements
