Are you passionate about helping older adults lead active, engaging, and fulfilling lives? Join YNLHN as a Diversional Therapist at Wakefield Aged Care Service and Riverton District Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, and play a key role in planning, delivering, and evaluating activities that enhance the wellbeing, independence, and quality of life of residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate individual and group activities for residents.
  • Assess residents’ needs, abilities, and participation in activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of activities, outcomes, and resident responses.
  • Support volunteers and multidisciplinary team members in activity delivery.
  • Assist with direct resident care and uphold high standards of aged care.
  • Promote a safe, healthy, and culturally sensitive environment.

This is a part time vacancy, working 42 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking a compassionate, creative professional with experience delivering leisure and lifestyle programs in aged care. You’ll be confident planning and facilitating activities for residents with a range of cognitive and physical abilities, and able to support volunteers and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Your dedication to resident wellbeing, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to professional development will ensure you thrive in this role.
