Join Our Support Services Team

Cleve Hospital is seeking reliable and motivated Health Ancillary Workers to join our team on a casual basis.

This role plays an important part in supporting the smooth operation of the hospital and health service by delivering high-quality catering, cleaning, laundry and housekeeping services in a safe and professional manner.

About the Role

As a Services Assistant, your duties may include:

  • Cleaning and housekeeping duties across the health service
  • Laundry duties including washing, folding, ironing and linen management
  • Assisting with food preparation, plating and meal delivery
  • Supporting patients with menu selections
  • Maintaining safe food handling and infection control standards
  • Receiving and storing supplies and stock
  • Supporting a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, residents and staff

You may also assist across multiple service areas depending on operational needs.

About You

You are a flexible and dependable team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to customer service.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible approach to work and rostering
  • Ability to work across catering, cleaning and laundry services
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety and infection control practices
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping, catering, cleaning or laundry services
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Experience working in healthcare or aged care settings
