About the Role

Join our Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEMU) and Specialist Geriatric Dementia and Delirium (SGDU) units as a Speech Pathologist, empowering older people to participate in their care and achieve their optimal functional level through interventions focused on promoting dignity, independence, and engagement with meaningful activity.  Working mainly at Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, you will deliver high quality care across complex geriatric, sub-acute and transitional care settings.

• Assess communication and swallowing needs
• Deliver evidence-based speech pathology care
• Support complex geriatric and rehabilitation caseloads
• Guide students and less experienced staff
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Contribute to quality improvement and service planning

About You

You are an experienced and compassionate Speech Pathologist who delivers person centred care and supports positive communication and swallowing outcomes for older people with complex needs.

• Degree in Speech Pathology with SPA eligibility

• Assess and manage dysphagia and communication needs

• Support complex geriatric and rehabilitation caseloads

• Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams

• Deliver evidence-based care and accurate clinical records
