About the role:

Duties for the role will include:

  • Provide senior clinical support to a skilled and supportive multidisciplinary team
  • Offer clinical supervision, coaching and mentorship to junior staff as they grow their practice
  • Coordinate care for people experiencing challenges with mood, wellbeing and daily life
  • Deliver evidence informed mental health assessment, intervention and recovery focused support
  • Develop creative, practical and person-centred treatment plans using both nursing and allied health approaches
  • Work closely with colleagues across disciplines to shape meaningful, individualised care
  • Support clients and families to build confidence, strengthen self management skills and move toward recovery
  • Keep clear, useful clinical documentation and contribute to quality improvement projects that make care better
  • Get involved in community education and mental health promotion activities
  • Build strong working relationships with external agencies and community organisations to help people receive connected care

About you:

  • Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing/Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who holds a current practicing certificate; and must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice - OR - Relevant allied health qualification and professional registration
  • Demonstrated experience in mental health or community health settings
  • Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills across both nursing and allied health domains
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse client groups
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in crisis intervention and risk management
  • Knowledge of recovery-oriented practice principles
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice

This is a single vacancy, with two possible appointment classifications. The successful applicants will be appointed in the position appropriate to their skills, qualifications, and experience.
