About the Role

As an Emergency Department Administration Officer, you will provide high-quality administrative and reception support to ensure the smooth operation of the Emergency Department.  Working within a fast-paced clinical environment, you will play an important role in maintaining accurate patient records, supporting staff and assisting patients and visitors with professionalism and empathy. 

You will:

  • Accurately register, update and maintain patient information across hospital systems
  • Provide responsive front-line reception and telephone support to patients, staff and visitors
  • Support patient admissions, transfers and record management processes
  • Maintain confidentiality and data integrity in line with SA Health standards
  • Respond to enquiries and challenging situations with professionalism, tact and empathy

About You

You are a highly organised and customer-focused administration professional who thrives in busy environments and can manage competing priorities with accuracy and efficiency.  You will bring:

  • Strong administrative, data entry and record management experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach
  • The ability to work autonomously, use initiative and remain calm under pressure
  • Experience delivering high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • A commitment to confidentiality, teamwork and professional standards
