Overview:

The Senior Analyst – Health Services Funding and Budget is responsible for provision of analysis and advice related to public Local Health Networks annual budgets. The objectives of the role are to:

  • Support the implementation and improvement of the department’s approach to monitoring and assessing Local Health Networks (LHNs) budget management and performance.
  • Oversee and support the monitoring and tracking of in year funding allocations made to LHNs to ensure sector wide budget monitoring is up to date.
  • Coordinate the development of annual budget submissions to government based on financial modelling and system demand estimation methodologies.
  • Provide data driven insights, analysis, and modelling as related to budget performance across the LHN system.
  • Support performance leads and other key stakeholders to identify productivity and efficiency performance risks for individual agencies, programs and at whole of system level.
  • Support data informed commissioning and funding allocations across all hospital-based program streams.
